The 25th China Mining Conference and Exhibition (CHINA MINING 2023) was successfully held at Tianjin Meijiang Convention Center of Tianjin China on October 26-28, 2023 in a combination of “offline oriented, online assisted”, restored the offline entities to hold conference and exhibition. At the same time, relying on the "Cloud Platform for China Mining Conference and Exhibition ", it provided the industry and the society with 24-hour uninterrupted information services and realized the "never ending" of the event. With the theme of "Innovation Promotes High-Quality Development of Mining", CHINA MINING 2023 consisted of the opening ceremony, keynote session, summit forums, thematic sub-forums, "offline + online" exhibition, VIP tours, ministerial bilateral talks, BOCI night, welcome party, networking dinner, mining interviews (online), etc.
More than 13000 participants from 28 countries and regions were attracted to attend the event. Mining ministers, vice ministers and diplomatic envoys from Ghana, Suriname, Nigeria, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay, South Africa, Zambia, Australia, Tanzania, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Argentina, Peru and other countries attended the opening ceremony. Focusing on the theme of the event, as well as the new trends and changes of mining development at home and abroad and the new requirements for international mining cooperation in the "the Belt and Road", the event set up 1 keynote session, 4 summit forums, 17 thematic sub-forums and 8 special promotion meetings. There were over 200 speakers, including 66 foreign guests from 25 countries and regions. Representatives from international organizations such as the UNDP and UNESCO attended the forums and delivered speeches. The Ministry of Natural Resources PRC and the UNESCO East Asian Multi-sector Regional Representative Office jointly launched the Digital "Chemical Earth" Initiative for Global Green Development at the forum. At the forum, representatives of attending entrepreneurs and industry experts made speeches and discussions on topics such as the supply and demand situation of domestic and foreign mineral products, mining capital markets, mineral product trading markets, overseas investment experience sharing, mining safety security, corporate social responsibility, scientific and technological innovation and integrated development, and the construction and management of professional geologist systems, presenting a series of high-level and professional perspectives to the audience.
The Ministry of Natural Resources PRC released the “China Mineral Resources (2023)” at this session, which has become a window to review the overall situation of China's mineral resources over the past year. The International Mining Research Center of the China Geological Survey released the “Global Mining Development Report 2023” at the "the Belt and Road" Geoscience Cooperation and Mining Investment Forum held by the event. The report comprehensively analyzes the global mining development trend in the post pandemic era for the first time, and is one of the series of research achievements of China's scientific research institutions in continuously serving the sustainable development of global mining.. The "China Mining Law Review (2023)", organized and written by the China Mining Association was officially released at the conference's special forum, marking the continuous improvement and perfection of the rule of law construction in China's mining industry.
