CM2012 Review

The 14^th CHINA MINING Conference & Exhibition 2012 took place in the Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center on November 3-6, 2012.

This year’s event has concluded with great success - 430 exhibitors and more than 6000 delegates from 55 countries and regions joined CHINA MINING 2012 Conference, Exhibition and Coherent Events.

The earlier start of the exhibition combined with different pre-seminars enlarged the value for all delegates and participating companies.

CHINA MINING 2012 Conference featured 3 keynote and over 40 breakout sessions structured in streams according to different areas, incl. Policies & Financing; Prospecting, Exploration & Mining; Commodities; Country Investment as well as Mining Sustainability.

Investment – Cooperation – Trade as main goals of CHINA MINING have been discussed and achieved during this year’s event.

22 Foreign (Vice) Ministers led mining delegations from world leading mining jurisdictions to discuss mining development, international cooperation and trade with the Chinese and international mining governments and companies.

CHINA MINING 2012 Exhibition with the China Land & Resources Government Area, Major Mining Country Areas, General Mining Area and Special Construction Area provided space for deeper discussions on mining development, cooperation and trade.

Moreover, it offered a trade platform for equipment producers and buyers and featured unique business opportunities for mining exploration companies and related services providers.

The 7th CHINA MINING Awards Gala Dinner together with other coherent events, such as Signing Ceremony of project investments and Government Welcome Dinner, etc. provided outstanding networking opportunities for the participants.

In addition several affiliated events enriched the content and opportunities at CHINA MINING 2012, incl. Workshop of Bank of China International, Cocktail Functions of Global Mining Association of China, Royal Bank of Canada and others.

Vice Premier Li Keqiang sent a congratulatory  letter to CHINA MINING 2012 In the letter, Li hoped that international mining industry can be based on long-term prospective, join hands to meet challenges, cooperate in a open attitude, be mutual benefit between supply and demand,  jointly maintain stable supply of bulk commodity at a steady market andupport the global economy stable growth by the healthy development of mining industry.…

Minister Xu Shaoshi addressed in the Opening  Ceremony of CHINA MINING 2012 Xu said that China will fully implement the prospecting breakthrough  strategyaction and accelerate thegreen mine construction plan. China  will continueto promote the opening up to the outside world, to strengthen  exchanges and cooperation with the international mining industry.  He  advocated that the world mining community should join hands to meet  the difficulties and challenges, and promote the sustainable development  of the global mining …
