Mr. Li Keqiang，Vice Premier of the State Council, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, sent a letter to China Mining 2012 held on November 4th in Tianjin. On behalf of the China government, he expressed the congratulation to the opening of the congress.
In the letter, Li said that the development of the mining industry is the vanguard of the economy development and economy development is the impeller of the booming mining industry. Nowadays the recovery of the world economy is harder than before. The adjustment of industry structure and the revolution of the new technology are evolution. The mining industry development is faced with challenge and hidden opportunities. He hope that international mining industry can be based on long-term prospective, join hands to meet challenges, cooperate in a open attitude, be mutual benefit between supply and demand, jointly maintain stable supply of bulk commodity at a steady market and support the global economy stable growth by the healthy development of mining industry.
Li pointed out that over the years, as a major power of mineral production and consumption, China provides a strong support and wide space for the world mining industry development. Facing the deepening progress of industrialization and urbanization, we will adhere to based on domestic, to speed up the pace of prospecting and paying equal attention to economical and intensive use of resources, and improve comprehensive domestic mining support capability.
