Approved by the State Council, co-hosted by Ministry of Land and Resources PRC, Tianjin Municipal People’s Government and China Mining Association, CHINA MINING Congress and Expo 2017 will be held at Meijing Convention and Exhibition Center of Tianjin from September 23rd to September 25th.
Focusing on the theme of “Promoting Mining Prosperity under the Silk Road Spirit”, the event will actively promote the implement of the achievements of “The Belt and Road” Summit for International Cooperation. Guided by the Silk Road Spirit featuring peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning, mutual benfit and win-win strategy, we will continue to advance the mining construction of innovation-driven, reform-led, green & safe, inclusiveness & shared, openness and mutual benefit, strengthen cooperation among global mining, build a community with a shared future for global mining and promote mining prosperity.
CHINA MINING Congress and Expo consists of three parts – conferences, exhibition and coherent featured events.
The conferences still adopted “1+4” model, that is, one keynote session and four high-level forums (mining CEOs forum, mining ministers forum, geological survey directors forum and mining cooperation on “The Belt and Road" forum). Meanwhile, 42 thematic sub-forums will be held with topics such as mining situation and policies , mining investment and finance, geological exploration and mining development, green mining development and organize activities including the introduction, negotiation, exchange and agreement-signing of mining cooperation programs from home and abroad in order to promote cooperation on substantive programs among ming companies home and abroad.
Nearly 600 exhibitors, including government delegations, mining companies, equipment companies and technology service companies, investment and financing organizations and consulting firms will attend the CHINA MINING Expo held at the same time with the congress. The exhibition area will reach 38,000 square meters.
Compared with the previous, the highlights and characteristics of this session are more prominent. Firstly, the themes and forums will further focus on the hot spots. It is the first time to set “The Belt and Road” mining cooperation forum and advancing mining cooperation among countries along “The Belt and Road”. Secondly, iinternationalization, marketization and specialization have been further enhanced. More government departments, mining companies, international organizations and institutions actively participate in this session. Commercial forums are more various. Tianjin Minexpo Co., Ltd. and China Gold Association will co-hold “Night of Gold”. It is the first time to set an associations presidents salon which will invite presidents of different industries to deliver speeches. We will set up a registry channel for business visitors. We improved the service of our website. Thirdly, mining cooperation has become more pragmatic. During the event, The Inaugural Meeting of China Mining International Productivity Cooperation Enterprises Alliance will be held to advance the international cooperation on mining production capacity.
This event receives active response from world mining industry. Over 10000 delegates and visitors from 60 countries and regions will attend this event. Until now, more than 3000 delegates from over 50 countries and regions has registered in the event, among whom the number of foreign delegates reach nearly 700. It is expected that the number of registered delegates will reach over 5000. Over ten Ministers or vice ministers from Canada, Sudan, Mali, Uganda, Nigeria, Argentina, Peru, Mexico and other countries and regions will be invited to this event. Top Management and senor representatives from international organizations such as the World Bank, United Nation Economic Commission for Europe(UNECE), Shanghai Cooperation Organization, JPMorgan, Nickel Institute, McKinsey&Company, CRU Group, Ukraine Reserves Committee, Minsheng Bank Research Institute and international mining companies, financing institutions, consultancy firms, etc., will be invited to attend the event.
High-level management from big companies such as China Minmetals, China National Gold Group Corporation, Aluminum Corp. of China, Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Gold Group Co., Ltd., Shanxi Coking Coal Group, Chengtun Mining Group Co., Ltd., etc and big financing institutions such as China Development Bank, Bank of China, Export-Import Bank of China, etc., will attend this event.
24 members units of the Tianjin Preparatory Committee have actively involved in the work of division and devoted all efforts to providing guarantee services in the fields of security, transportation, reception, accommodation, sanitation and volunteers’ services.
